Emotional Direct-Response Marketing: What's your favorite brand name?

As you know, direct-response marketing is more results-driven trackable marketing that works NOW.

Not brand-driven marketing where you try and get your brand “out there” somehow and let the brand do the selling for you.

For entrepreneurs and small business-owners like the clients I work with — people who are usually doing anywhere from $500,000 in sales to 10 Million +… direct response marketing is FAR more controllable from a cost and tracking standpoint, and far more predictable and reliable from an investment standpoint.

However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t cool-looking or cool-sounding brand names out there.

Some, no doubt, will be come successes… while others will toil away in obscurity forever, or even fail completely.

This morning, I heard a cool name of a coffee shop – Blue Bottle Coffee.  I think they’re out of Oakland, and they just opened a shop in Rockefeller Center, in NYC.

And the other day, I was in our local health food shop and I saw this package.

Is This Good Branding?

Love Crunch – hit or miss?

“Love Crunch.”  I like that name — there’s something compelling about it.

So it got me wondering, what are some of your favorite sounding, or favorite looking brands, and why?
