Copywriting tip: how to make your buyers move, NOW

There is probably nothing more influential and relevant to your outcome, than the words you use when you’re speaking to your buyers.  One thing to keep in mind, is that you’re going to be a lot more compelling, if you’re always engaging your prospects using action-oriented words.

Words that get them moving… and words that get them thinking.  As opposed to most words which make people neither think, move or do anything else for that matter.

So instead of saying things like “Get this today”… or “Order here, before it’s too late”… (I’m always wondering when I see this, ‘Before “what” is too late?’) you say things like this:

“Call now, and we’ll rush “7 Easy Ways To Make Your Home Chemical Free” out to you by U.S. First Class Priority mail today.  You’ll have this Free Report in your hands in time to get rid of all the toxins in your home, before the weekend.”

Or… “I urge you to pick up the phone and call us right away.  Speak to one of our Family Weekend Fun Specialists to reserve your room, and your family weekend adventure.  If you call before Monday, you’ll also get a free portable video camera to record all the wonderful memories you’ll be making on your special getaway.”

Or something like this, which I use often: “Right now, while this is fresh on your mind, pick up that phone and call the 24 Hour Relaxation Hotline.  No one will be on the telephone to hassle you, and no one will try and sell you anything.”

Compelling people to take action is like running a company: the tone… is always set… at the top.
