Shouldn't This Be Against The Law?
Dear Friend,
Gosh, that's a great headline, isn't it?
Kind of hard to ignore this one -- regardless of where you see it written, no?
How about this one: "If you knew the 3 proven secrets the experts use to ____ , (finally getting rid of that belly of yours, growing lush red roses, shaving at LEAST 5 strokes off your golf game, whatever)" that'd be a great attention-getter as well, right?
And what about this one: "If You Read Nothing Else About ___ (lowering your blood pressure, getting your hands on luxury automobiles at BELOW dealer prices, getting your hands on investor's cash) This Year -- Read This!"
Each of these headlines, subject lines, article titles - whatever you want to call them -- are compelling, to-the-point, and almost IMPOSSIBLE to ignore, but do you know why?
Because they push one of the strongest emtioan buy-buttons you can push in your prospect -- curiosity. There is just an inherent and almost overpowering desire to resolve and satisfy all curiosity that comes into your life, sometimes at all costs. If you can make your prospects curious, then you are on the right path to selling them what they WANT to buy. (There is a lesson in this as well that I hope you just got.)

For example, it's a LOT tougher to tell someone a story the 21st time, than it was the first time, isn't it?
