There are literally only TWO slots open, if you want to sign up for tonight's FREE teleseminar called "How To Eliminate ALL Your Marketing Headaches!" Go here to register, immediately: http://www.kingofcopy.com/fts/11_09_05/
Here are just a few of the things we'll be covering:
- How to get clients, plain-and-simple!
- How to get started in your business, period!
- How to outfox the foxes! Meaning, how to get a leg up in spite of having just a slew of obstacles in front of you -- including competitors and reluctant customers who've been burned by bad industry practices and shysters, in the past.
- How to use "emotions" to push people's "buy" buttons, and which emotions to use!
- How to differentiate your product amongst a VERY crowded field!
- What to do when people steal your ideas?
And... much much more!
Again, if you're one of the next two people to sign up, then you're in! So go here right NOW and get your marketing mojo moving, pronto! http://www.kingofcopy.com/fts/11_09_05/
And by-the-way, if you have registered for the teleseminar and you did NOT receive your call-in information, please e-mail my office, since it was sent out earlier today.
Now for today's tip...
Yesterday I was finishing up a sales letter for a project that should be up-and-running next week. (I'll tell you about it as soon as it goes "live".) The sun was just starting to go down and the temperature began dropping a few degrees.
I was pretty spent and I really needed a break. Years ago, I would've said, "Craig, you keep pushing yourself, you must finish before you have fun."
But now, since I'm older and a LOT smarter, I did the only sensible thing anyone with half-a-brain would do, if they were in my same position:
I grabbed a cigar... ran downstairs and went past the kitchen straight through the garage... grabbed my fishing rod... and I went fishing!
The bass were jumping everywhere -- just before sunset is a great time to catch 'em.
I however, must have been using something that was similar to roadkill to those fish, because the only bites I got out there, were from the mosquitoes feasting on me like I was a bloodied raw steak thrown into the lions cage.
Look, one of the best things you can do when you've got some kind of "writers block", is to put down whatever you're doing and go and do something that'll clear your head.
Maybe it's fishing, maybe it's playing with your daughter, maybe it's even watching TV -- whatever.
And if you're "stuck" when you're working late into the night, then go to bed.
Believe me, I can tell you from experience that when you wake up, you'll be a different person, and your mind will simply be FILLED with fresh new ideas you can start using. You won't know where they've been hiding, you'll be so prolific.
Another thing you can do is go back and read through my archives (http://www.kingofcopy.com/tips/tiparchives.html) or read through some good marketing books. You're bound to find some excellent ideas lying around in them.
Also, sometimes getting OUT of your environment and into someplace different, lets your mind relax a little bit as well.
There are two different things you can do. Sometimes you can go to a "quiet" place.
Me, I like to go and read somewhere, or take my dog over to the park. Even though it's really peaceful here on the lake where we live, there's something "different" that happens when you get out of your environment.
Whatever "block" had been holding you back, suddenly seems to evaporate once you're gone.
The other place you can go to, is somewhere where you're going to run into a lot of marketing messages, like a mall, or a busy street downtown, if that's what downtown is like in your neighborhood.
Of course, if you grew up in a rural town in England, like my wife... you may see sheep and a sweet shoppe downtown, so I'm not sure this will work, but... I think you get what I'm trying to say here, right?
The point is, it's O.K. to take a break, because if you feel like you need one, then guess what?
You do!
Time to go fishing now -- hopefully the fish won't abuse me so badly today.
Now go sell something,
Craig Garber
