Which Of These 2 Puzzle Pieces Is More Important?

Dear Friend,

A little while ago, I answered the following question on a forum, and I got a lot of positive feedback about the comments I made, so I thought maybe you'd get something out of this as well, or at least maybe it'll spur you on to some creative thinking about things.

Here was the question:

"Which do you consider more important, the creation of Products or Promotions?  I know that we need products to sell, but we also need to be able to sell the products, Supply and Demand."

And here was my answer:

It really depends.

If you want to ONLY make money, then the ONLY thing that's important is promotion.

If you want to make money over-and-over again, up front and on the back-end, and build an actual business, then promotion is important, and so is the quality of your product.

And if you want to be a dead-broke frustrated and bitter ex-entrepreneur, than product is the only thing that's important.

Right?

See, most people get all hung up in the wrong things, and spin their wheels by spending all their time on the wrong end of the equation.

They think marketing's a "bad thing" because they've either been programmed all wrong and have some mixed messages and guilt inside them, or they just don't know any better.

Or... they're so scared of marketing they think that by making their product so freakin' awesome, the product itself will overcome any marketing flaws they have, and the product will "sell itself."

And believe me, NOTHING can be further from the truth -- just go ask all the honest, hardworking and very talented but barely making ends meet financial planners, retail store owners, and small service businesses out there how many new clients and jobs their "sharp skills" has brought them in, over the last year.

Or... they've just never done this before and they've never had access to any kind of accurate information or people who were willing to be honest with them before.

Along those lines, the best thing you can do for any people you know who are in this last situation, is to refer them to my daily newsletter -- that'll wake 'em up for sure, no?

So the bottom line here is, make a great product, and then spend every waking moment of your time focusing on nothing but marketing it, if you want to get anywhere.

And no, I am NOT a cop, I only play one on TV.

Now go sell something,

Craig Garber
