Weird Things About Years Gone By

Dear Friend,

Tonight, you're probably going to be in a good mood, hopefully enjoying yourself with some friends and family, sipping on a glass of champagne and catching a relaxing buzz.

But right now I want to talk about something very serious.  It's something you and I, and everyone else who's in business, MUST be aware of.

Right now I want to talk about:  Boob Jobs.

Yes, whether you know it or not, boob jobs are becoming an increasingly important part of America's Gross National Product (that's the total amount of money being spent on goods and services).

In fact, you probably didn't know this, but recently released breakthrough statistics show the number of breast augmentation surgeries in the United States jumped up 24% over the last 4 years.  May your business grow as "big" as that.

My comment:  God Bless America.

And here are some other statistics you may not be aware of:

  • 4% of all Americans read e-mail in the bathroom on a hand-held electronic device.
Since I started taking fiber, I don't even have enough time in there to read an instant message.
  • More than 900 nutrition bars came to the marketplace over the last 4 years.
I've tried at least 800 of them and 798 of them are awful.  It's 2006 already, when are they going to start making those things so they DON'T taste like cardboard with Spenda?
  • Only 4% of Americans are natural redheads.
Carpeting or drapes?
  • 30% of all teens use instant messaging to keep in touch with their friends on a daily basis, which is 3% more than teens who use cell phones.
Finally, a technological advancement for my kids that SAVES me money.
  • Barbie dolls provoked the most violent emotions in young girls, including popping off their heads and microwaving them.
New product idea:  Ex-wife dolls for adult men who'd like to experience the same enjoyment their daughters are getting.
  • People like their namkes so much they prefer the letters in their names to other letters.
Cool, Really Amazing Insane and Great!
  • Viewers who watch "Oprah" also like to watch news programs.
Wow, that's shocking.
  • The magnetic North Pole is moving 25 miles a year.  Over the past century, it's moved 685 miles from Arctic Canada towards Siberia.
So what?

Listen, have yourself a great New Years Eve and a killer 2006.

See you on Monday.

Now go sell something,
