Santa's Extra Present
Dear Friend,
Today's tip is going to be short... and sweet.
It's Sunday and I'm a little disgruntled because I've got a sales letter to finish, and I need to get it done lickety-split because I've got some family plans, including a craft festival... breakfast... a trip to my friends house... and our Christmas locomotive train to set up.
I'm also giving you enough notice in today's tip, so you can get the ball rolling on a particularly profitable direct-mail technique, and take advantage of it, milking it for all it's worth.
And here it is: Many people mistakenly believe December is a "dead month" when it comes to direct mail.
This is simply not true.
The fact is, the week immediately following Christmas -- meaning, the week between Christmas and New Years, is an excellent time for your prospects to be receiving direct mail from you.
And here's why: The rush of the holidays is over... all the presents have been purchased... the credit card bills HAVEN'T come in yet... and your prosepects are starting to look forward and think about the new year ahead of them.
Also, they're generally in a particularly good mood, and even if they don't work for themselves, or even if they're not home on vacation, their work load isn't particularly heavy and they generally tend to have MORE time on their hands during that week, and less "stuff" weighing down on their minds.
This year, since Christmas is on a Sunday, at least here in the states (just kidding) you'd want your mail to reach your prospects probably no LATER than Wednesday.
Because come Thursday, they may already be looking forward to, or thinking about the New Year, parties, celebrations, or whatever, and you want them thinking about your mail piece instead.
So figure out when you need to mail, so that your prospects get their letter on Monday, but preferably on Tuesday or Wednesday of that week.
And if you think THIS is a good idea, you ain't seen nothing yet! At my seminar in March, I'll be spilling the beans of more killer marketing ideas you can instantly start using to double, triple, or maybe even multiply your sales by ten-fold, than you'd believe possible. If you haven't registered to be there yet, then give yourself the Christmas gift that will keep on giving back t you, forever, and join us at the seminar here: http://www.informationmarketingexpo.com/
