How To Get Them ALL Out Of Your Way
Dear Friend,
Walking through Times Square on a Saturday night at 8 o'clock, can be overwhelming if you've never done it before, and downright scary if you're not comfortable in crowds.
You are literally connected to a sea of people -- all shapes, sizes and colors -- that may number 10 to 20,000 in size.
We were walking all over the city during the day, and since Anne is from a small town in England, it was quite a shock for her to be navigating around in something like this.
When we came back to the hotel, she asked me something I never would have thought of. She asked me, "How can you push Sammy's stroller along so smoothly, with all these people all around you, so close by?"
This was funny, because since I had grown up here, it was something that in a million years, I never would have thought about. It was like asking me, "How do you pick up a pencil?"
You just do it, right?
After thinking about it, I told her when I'm walking around -- with Sam in the stroller or not -- I believe all these people need to get out of MY way, not the other way around.
I do not think this attitude about getting around Times Square successfully, is any different than the attitude you need to have about being a success in business. You really DO seek out your own destiny in life, so why not make it BIG?
Figuring out what others want you to do, is NOT very fulfilling, nor is it what your "creator", as it says in The Science Of Getting Rich - http://www.kingofcopy.com/products/science.html - wants you to do. You may not "get" the correct answer right away, but if you're looking for it hard enough, eventually it WILL come to you. And when it comes, you will know it as sure as you know you're hungry in the morning when you wake up.
I was very flattered when a friend of mine visited me a couple of weekends ago, and told me "The reason I like you is because you've got it set in your head, you're going to change the universe and make it the way you want it to be on your journey through this world."
