Get More With Honey, NOW
Dear Friend,
Sometimes you can get a leg up on your competition, just by being yourself -- especially when their normal "self", is nothing shy of awful. And by the way, there's a way you can use this in your marketing, and I'll explain what I mean in just a second.
I flew in to Cleveland yesterday, to attend a mastermind meeting. While I was waiting on line at the rental car counter -- and it was a long line -- the person being served ahead of me started getting out of control. Apparently whatever he wanted wasn't being delivered, so he started acting like a jerk, and being all rude to the woman who was trying to help him, as if it was HER fault they didn't have any more red cars, or whatever his problem was.
I really get excited when I see someone making a complete fool of themselves, especially when they're in line ahead of me, because I know I'll be able to get basically whatever I want out of the person serving me, simply because I'm going to look even BETTER, simply because the person ahead of me was so awful.
Sure enough, after Mr. CrankyPants had finished, I walked up to the line, as upset about his poor behavior as the clerk was herself. "Gosh, was he having a bad day, or what?
"Mmmm-hmmm"
"It's not like whatever his problem was, was YOUR fault, right?"
"No, it sure wasn't. It's going to be a few minutes, I just have to look up your reservation on the computer." (she said that hesitantly, expecting me to be upset, after waiting in line for such a long time, and after the miserable experience she'd just had)
"Hey, no problem, take as much time as you need."
Well, before long I walked out of there with a fresh new car and a courtesy upgrade, all because the guy ahead of me was an idiot.
You know, it's kind of hokey old home-spun wisdom, but when I was a kid, my mom used to tell me, "You get more with honey than vinegar" and she was right. This experience is a perfect example of how that works.
You can use something similar to this in your marketing, by offering someone a deal and then telling them something like, "You can easily see why this system is worth $12,000 Dollars. But don't worry, you're not going to pay $12,000 Dollars for it. In fact, you're not even going to pay HALF of that, at $6,000 Dollars. If you order now, all you're going to pay is $2,997, and if you place your order by midnigh tonight, I'll even toss in an Audio CD of the kingofcopy bs'ing his way through an Auto Rental in Cleveland."
You see what I mean about how things look one way when they're standing alone by themselves, but they often look completely different, relative to something else?
Another way of doing this is just putting a price down, and then crossing out that price, or putting an "X" through it, and then showing the REAL price, which is much lower.
I want you to know that yesterday I finished writing this month's issue of Seductive Selling, and then later on that evening, I had an intense conversation with the man who is going to be this month's Audio Success CD interview, and ironically, many of the conversations we had, were topics I'd actually written about earlier during the day. I have no idea if this was something my subconscious mind did, of if I am just a little whacky, but let me just tell you that one of the issues we discussed has to do with WHY most promotions fall flat on their face, and on page 6 of the newsletter - http://www.kingofcopy.com/ssnl - I reveal not one... not two... but TWELVE different ways of making sure this doesn't happen to you. You should check them out, especially since you get to test-drive the newsletter, for FREE. If this can't help you, then nothing will.
Now go sell something,
