Lotsa Lovin' Going On

Since it's Summer time and the kids are home from school, here's something you may find interesting, and perhaps even enviable.

According to the U.S Population clock, the population of Americans as of this morning, was 298,904,519, and based on the following four "components" of this statistic, which I'll tell you about in a minute, there is a "NET" gain of ONE person, every 11 seconds.

Now here's what those components are: 

• There is one birth every 8 seconds
• One death every 13 seconds...
• And one international migrant (net) every 30 seconds.

Obviously, with all the talk about domestic issues, conflict, and people just not getting along, nevertheless... lovers somewhere -- besides all the kids in high school -- are finding the time to get down and get busy.

And apparently, we're pretty good at it here in America.  From the highest fertility rate to the lowest, the United States ranks 131 out of 226 countries, with the average woman here in the U.S., having 2.08 children.

To satisfy your curiosity, Niger was number 1, with 7.55 children born per woman.  Lord knows I should stop pissing and moaning about my three after hearing this statistic, right?

So the good news is, there's a lot of lovin' going on, and you're never going to have any shortage of people to sell to.

The bad news is, apparently, there will be no stopping rap music.
