Guns And Money -- May Be Closer Than You're Aware
Dear Friend,
Here's more proof that the lawyers and dumb-asses who run this country really aren't getting any smarter:
Here in Florida, the lawmakers are debating passing a law that will allow employees AND customers to bring handguns and firearms (yeah, even shotguns and whatnot) in their car to work, and store them there on company property.
Now am I just getting soft in my old age or am I missing something here?
And check this out: Under these new regs, if your employees and customers "firearms rights" are violated (meaning, if they're dismissed because you and your staff are unconfortable that their UZI's are safely tucked away a few feet from your desk), they can sue YOU and collect damages.
Is there any further proof you need that this bill is just "lawyer lead generation" in disguise?
Oh, and don't worry, if Bubba comes in one morning after having a fight with Mrs. Bubba, and he's good and pissed off and so he decides to pop off a few rounds just to "clear his mind" about things -- no problem -- this new law says you're off the hook. See, your company gets complete immunity for any crimes committed by weapons in this situation.
I'm not sure how all the widows and orphans will feel about this, but at least you'll be able to sleep at night.
Now don't get me wrong -- this isn't a political discussion. Frankly, I think the right to bear arms is important, and the truth is, most people who use them on a regular basis are honest decent and highly responsible people.
But the problem is...
Those Aren't The People You're Worried About!
It's the morons who can't keep their emotions in check, and whose personal problems follow them around where ever they go throughout their lives.
Plus, this opens the door for ice cream men to keep weapons in their trucks... daycare centers, hospitals, and park maintenance workers... veterinarians and physicians -- all kinds of highly stressful situations you may be in.
And since there are already 17 workplace homicides a week here in the United Sates (and 80% of them involve a firearm), don't you think this new law just "might" encourage these incidents to occur more frequently?
What am I missing? Send me your thoughts and let me know.
Now go sell something,
