Dial It Off!

Dear Friend,

Once in a blue moon, you'll stumble across a "traditional" company that "sort of" gets lead generation right.

Of course they never get it nailed down "exactly"... but they're at least headed in the right direction.

A case in point is Weight Watchers.

Weight Watchers is actually a great company, and if I'm 100% honest here, I'll tell you that when I was a kid, and I first wanted to do something about my own weight problem I had at the time, I checked myself into the weekly Weight Watchers meeting in my neighborhood.

I was not only the only kid there (I was probably 12-or-so at the time)... but I was also the only male there as well

I remember the group leader, Diana.  Her big saying was "One moment on the lips... forever on your hips".  Being a guy, this really didn't apply to me, but her meaning was well-taken.

Well now Weight Watchers has come up with a pretty good lead-generation program.

You just call up 1-888-284-7496 (1-888-ATIP4YOU) and you get the Dutchess Of York, Sarah Ferguson - their newest celebrity endorser (And gosh, is that British accent hot or what?) leaving you a message about the kinds of DAILY weight loss messages you can choose to hear.

Each message is basically a testimonial from one of Weight Watchers success stories, along with good weight-loss content that's relevant to the tip you selected.

Now if these tips are so helpful to you that you're listening in on them every single day, a good portion of these people are going to do "what" at the end of the 30 days of tips?

Right -- they're going to enroll in the Weight Watchers program.

This is a VERY low-cost lead-generation program to administer, relative to the amount of people Weight Watchers can get access to -- and it's a great way of generating leads for themselves... "sort of".

See, they'd be better off giving something away with these calls and some how collecting names and addresses, but like I said -- the big corporate guys never get it "ALL" right -- they're always missing something here or there.

If you put your mind to it, I'd bet there's some "fun" way to generate leads for your business, perhaps even like this, that you can easily do as well..

Think about it and let me know.
