A Soap Story

A Soap story

They say we’re all connected somehow, and sometimes I think this is true.

Check this out.

About 6 weeks ago, my wife and I went up to Epcot in Orlando, to meet some friends.

While we were there, we stopped into Paris, and my wife was looking around the store, wanting to buy something for her mother.

After sifting through about 10-12 bars of soap, and thoroughly smelling each one of them, Anne wound up buying a bar of soap for her mother.

Yesterday, her mum came to stay with us for a few weeks (she’s from England). And of course, she came bearing gifts.

Gifts from her, and gifts from Anne’s sister, who also lives in England.

Oddly enough, one of the things her sister sent her was a small bar of soap that she picked up for her when she was Paris. The REAL Paris, in France – not “Paris the section of Epcot, in Orlando.”

And, sure enough… it was the exact same bar of soap Anne had chosen for her mother.

Now of all the stores to buy soap in… and all the dozens and dozens of scents and brands of soap in all these stores – that’s pretty strange they’d buy the same exact soap in the same exact size, isn’t it?

I mean, I’m sure someone can figure out the odds of this, but i’d bet it’s 1 in “SOME CRAZY NUMBER.”

You have to wonder, in a situation like this, whether or not there are things going on beyond what we can see, feel, hear and touch.

Call it metaphysics, or call it spirits – it really doesn’t matter.

But when I see and hear about things like this – and for some reason, I hear about things like this a lot – I have no problem surrendering the outcome to “other forces.”

Surrendering isn’t necessarily a natural thing to do for someone who’s more of a Type A personality like I am – but hey… I’ve found sometimes surrendering and going with the flow, is the smartest and easiest thing to do.

Have you ever had an experience like this? If so, let me know by posting on today’s blog.

Hope you had a nice long weekend, and have a great week.
