Small Business Marketing: Top 5 Posts of 2010

I publish a lot of content, so I thought it would be interesting to see the Top 5 posts I made last year.  The results were odd, to say the least.  I’ll share them with you, from most popular on down:

The funny thing is, I HATE making videos — I have a face made for print, lol…  But clearly, based on these results I need to be making a lot more of them as you’ll see.

In any case, these are good case studies.

These were pretty cool to make because I did them on my deck right behind the house.  Those banana trees you see in the background on the left, were so beat up last winter from the unusual cold we had down here in Tampa, combined with the drought we had earlier in the year… they didn’t produce fruit for the first time in 6 years. In fact, even our citrus trees were barren.

We normally get at least three big bunches of sweet little bananas that my kids and I gobble up!

This post did so well because of the powerful subject line.  You’ll see it at the top of the page.  (Oh, and by the way, this group meets in two weeks if you want to apply.)

This was very odd.  It’s the “about” page for my book.  I have NO idea why this is such a highly visited page?

Ditto the above comments.

OK, so tell me something…  I post more quality content than probably anyone else out there.  And, I post often.  And yet… most of the top five most popular posts on my blogs have nothing to do with what you’d call conventional “content.”

If you know what this means… or why this is like this… then let me know.

Because I… haven’t got… a clue.
