Another lead generation marketing headline magnet

Last week we were talking about headlines, and how the most important thing you can do to get your buyers attention, is to make them curious… and appeal to their self-interest.

Today we’re going to take a look at HOW you appeal to their self-interest.  And the answer for this, is quite simple, actually.

You just offer them something.  Something they really want.

So for example, instead of saying, “Are you forgetting something?”

Say…

“Stop forgetting where you left your keys:  Free Report Reveals How To Improve Your Memory In One Evening!”

Not “Enjoy these new cigars,” but… “If you don’t think this is the best cigar you’ve smoked in the last 6 months, then you don’t pay a THING for it!”

And not “Optimize your web page today,” but instead, offer something these buyers really want, like, “Double your website traffic with QUALIFIED buyers, in 45 days or less…  Guaranteed!”

See, all you need to do, to create self-interest in something… is make sure you understand why your buyers buy, and what really appeals to them.

Sell the steak, not the sizzle, as Elmer Wheeler said.  And make an offer – preferably the same offer you’d make, to get that person interested in what you had to say, if they were standing right there in front of you.

So remember — when you’re trying to generate leads: make ’em curious and create self-interest by making an offer your buyers CAN’T ignore.
